In rural northeast Iowa sits Turkey Valley School District consisting of one educational building Kindergarten through 12th Grade. When the need to update the fire alarm from a conventional panel, smoke detection within 5 feet from the fire doors, in the corridors, and not one sprinkler head in the building System Services designed, installed, and tested the new Gamewell-FCI Addressable E3 Series Fire Panel.
Our goal was to improve on the safety of the building starting with proper placement of total smoke detection, heat detection and general notification through out the building, room by room. Through using the E3 Series Fire Panel we were able address every point with an actual description to the location of that one device able to walk straight to the problem.
We integrated voice in both gymnasiums using two E3 Panels through single pair of wires.
By using the Gamewell-FCI E3 Panel we were able to take advantage of the speed and flexibility of the system to minimize cost while maximizing building safety.
